Hotel IPV Palace & Spa nalazi se u prvom redu uz plažu El Castillo na južnom rubu Fuengirole, svega nekoliko koraka od dvorca Sohail. Hotel s četiri zvjezdice ima 285 soba u četiri zgrade s pet katova, a oko bazena se pružaju vrtovi. Najviše će se svidjeti parovima i gostima koji uz plažu traže i spa te malo mira, no dobrodošle su i obitelji. Budući da je središte grada udaljeno oko 2 km, ovdje je opuštenije nego na glavnoj šetnici.
Sobe i smještaj
Na raspolaganju su standardne i superior sobe, većinom s pogledom na more. Sve imaju balkon ili terasu, klima uređaj, televizor, minibar i sef, a Wi-Fi je besplatan. U kupaonici su kada, bide i sušilo za kosu.
Sadržaji i usluge
Hotel nudi samo noćenje, doručak ili polupansion. Glavni restoran Doña Lola poslužuje jela na bazi švedskog stola uz kuhanje pred gostima, a u à la carte restoranu La Alacena možete večerati. Uz bazen radi Beach Club, tapas bar La Taurina nudi španjolske zalogaje, a zimi se navečer otvara i piano bar u predvorju.
Na otvorenom su dva bazena i dječji bazen, s ležaljkama i suncobranima. Spa nudi saunu, tursku kupelj, parnu kupelj i hidromasažnu kadu te masaže i kozmetičke tretmane. Ulaz je dopušten od 16. godine, a usluge se dodatno plaćaju. Za aktivne goste tu su teretana te tereni za tenis i padel. Animatori vode vodeni aerobik i jogu, a navečer su na programu glazba uživo i predstave. Parkiranje na otvorenom je besplatno.
Lokacija i posebnosti
Adresa hotela je Autovía A-7, km 207, odmah uz dvorac Sohail. Plaža El Castillo nalazi se točno ispred hotela, a do trgovačkog centra Miramar treba nešto više od 15 minuta hoda. Zračna luka Malaga udaljena je oko 28 km, automobilom otprilike pola sata. Hotel IPV Palace & Spa dobar je izbor za sve koji vole plažu pred vratima, a ne trebaju gradsku vrevu svake večeri.
Zanimljivost
Desetak kilometara iznad Fuengirole smjestio se Mijas Pueblo, bijelo andaluzijsko mjesto u brdima. Posebnost mu je kapelica Virgen de la Peña, u 17. stoljeću uklesana izravno u stijenu i posvećena zaštitnici mjesta. Odmah pokraj nje je vidikovac s kojeg puca pogled na cijelu obalu.

Just back from a five night stay “last dose of sunshine” stay at the IPV with my friend. We had ground floor poolside rooms 4001 and 4002 so the easy access to the pool and to the sea for me was as usual perfect. A special thank you to the always friendly Jasmin from the restaurant reception and whenever she saw us elsewhere, and to helpful and cheerful Alice on the main reception who checked us in and out. It was good to see Alberto the expert omelette maker again too. The ladies who cleaned my room 4002 did a great job. I am sorry that I can’t give credit to them by name but as usual the standards were very high not just in the room but also throughout the hotel. We had a very good time and my wife and I will be returning in June.
Excellent hotel, all facilities up to & beyond expectation. Very impressed with staff members Daniel at reception and Jasmine at buffet, very friendly and helpful along with Jose whom we met only briefly this time. Always a great welcome from him. We will be returning, this is our 7th stay in this beautiful and tranquil hotel set in's wonderful location. Thank you to all the staff who make it so unique
We were aware that this hotel was out on a limb, having visited Fuengirola in the past, and consequently thought that they would compensate for this with a great holiday vibe and interesting entertainment. Unfortunately this wasn't the case! During our visit we enjoyed hearing the pianist, but apart from that the entertainment was dedicated to sport (sadly not our idea of exciting viewing!) The hotel has been very attractively designed and has a fantastic huge, deep pool surrounded by some beautifully manicured areas. It's complete with a tree that attracts a flock of 100 or so sparrow type birds; wonderful to have some nature alongside the sea view. Our single beds were amazingly spacious & comfortable and the cleaners kept everywhere immaculate. But the main issue is that the management are so mean with what is provided. You start your holiday with being told that a kettle will cost you 10 euros to borrow.....we felt that for a 4 star holiday & the cost entailed this should be provided. We were half board & the food was often lukewarm at best. The quality of the ingredients was often substandard with flavourless oranges for example; something that we've come to expect to be a superior standard in Spain! Some fruit (kiwis) were terribly unripe & hence inedible; all indicative of produce being bought on the cheap!! Previous experiences of half board for us have generally included alcoholic drinks during a meal time, but alas not here. We have also come to expect to see Management being available & accessible incase any guests have any issues.....no one was ever evident. Hence when a group of men started getting out of hand in the pool with excessive drinking no one was around to keep things under control. Not what one would expect to have to contend with at a 'Spa' hotel, we thought. Sadly we wouldn't return and would suggest similarly to anyone who expects a holiday experiences of a certain standard.
