Had a brilliant time staying here for 11 nights as a family of four (5 month old & 2 year old). Positives: - Exceptional amount of activities for children, the kids club, paddling pool, evening entertainment, tiger mascots walking around, indoor pools, outdoor park, giant chess, sports pitches are all excellent - people complaining about the noise from kids in this hotel from other reviews are odd people, the mascot for this is hotel is essentially Tony the tiger. - Location is great, really short drives to various hotspots or even walking if you don’t mind the hills. The complementary shuttle bus up and down the hill is a bonus. - Found the food to be great each night and morning ( we stayed half board ). The themes are light touch really but the amount of choice means we always had something to eat. Negatives (these might seem picky): - The gym closing at 8pm is tragic, as a dad of young kids I train late at night always. The gym is card entry and not the biggest anyway - it can easily be 24 hours. - The rooms not getting cleaned daily is really poor. A 4 star hotel with rooms that only get cleaned once every 3 days isn’t good enough. - No bellboys to help take luggage up and down from reception isn’t good. You need to be an octopus to reach your room if you’ve got kids and suitcases. - The rule of ‘one adult one child’ in the kids club is shocking. Understood if its busy but we witnessed a mum have to leave the dad and 2 year old daughter in the kids club even though it was empty - its hardly a holiday experience if you’re sat alone in the cafe whilst the other parent and child are having fun. - Finally, our fault for not being all inclusive but just some water available at tea times would be welcome. Being half board yet still having to buy bottles of water each evening meal leaves a poor impression. All in all had a lovely holiday though, the kids loved it!
Just landed home after our family holiday and had an absolute blast at this hotel. We stayed in Benalmadina 2 years ago in another hotel but wanted to try here as the reviews were good and it did not disappoint. We arrived on a late flight and had our infant daughter who has milk at bed time. I had emailed the hotel before arriving to request them to leave milk in our room and they responded quickly and had the milk waiting and the cot all set up for us. They also provide a high chair for the room. The rooms are spacious and modern. We had a bath and a shower. Small kitchen area with cooking facilities. Tea and coffee provided and a little cleaning pack with washing up liquid, sponge and cloth. The balcony had a table and 2 chairs with an additional 2 sun loungers. The hotel its self is spotless and smells fresh throughout. The house keeping ladies kept the place perfect. We came with our 8 & 1 year old and they both had the best time. As did we. We booked bed and breakfast and the breakfast was amazing ! We ate at the restaurant every morning as there was something for everyone. Food is cooked fresh and replenished through the morning from 8-11am which we found good if you liked a lay in you didn’t need to rush to make it down in time. The hash browns were the best I’ve ever eaten and the coffee machine has a great selection for the morning coffee fix. We hired 2 beach towels from reception for €20 you can swap them throughout your stay if they are dirty and they refunded us when we returned them when checking out. The pool was great it was the same depth most of the way round that our 8 year old could stand up and was never out his depth. The only thing I would say is they were quite strict with jumping and will tell you off. People sat beside us were also told off for eating their own food which I don’t think is fair. We took our own snacks for the kids fruit etc and they didn’t say anything to us but we did see it happening. They have different activities at the pool and the inflatable slide was a great addition. We also used the indoor pool one of the days to stay out the sun, this slightly deeper but again spotless and wellmaintained. They also have sun loungers outside the indoor pool area that are away from the main pool if you like to sunbathe in a more quiet area. Night time entertainment was also really good but we felt it was a little late. The hill was a killer but if you’re fit and able it’s fine. We used the back exit to go to the super market down the road and that wasn’t as steep. We stayed in room 429 and the view was stunning although the sun was away from the balcony around 2.30pm so if you like the sun later I’d advise getting a pool view room. I would definitely come back and stay here in the future !
So many dishes, yet completely tasteless. If you aren't able to cook something properly, just stick to French fries. Stop filling the trays with rice, pasta, or other side dishes that have no flavor—it feels like they’ve already been chewed before being served. The same goes for most of the main dishes.
