Id like to mention mainly the family pool and bar Mohamed the bar man was fantastic Very curious polite and always happy to help Whether it was bringing your drinks to you or refilling them to helping with your towels A real credit to the hotel
I wanted to write this review as a family who stayed at sunrise diamond beach in 2 regular rooms. We didn't have swim up rooms or weren't a member of the posh club and still had a wonderful time. Our children are 16 and 13 and loved this hotel. We go to an all inclusive resort every year this year we choose Egypt. The hotel staff as other members have said are fantastic. Everyone was so friendly and helpful and I loved the concierge and even the hotel manager would go around asking people daily how everything was was there any issues from anybody, so if there was an issue the hotel staff are eager to hear about it. We particularly loved all the lifeguards. Everyday they would lay our towels by the pool, kick the football about with the kids. My husband had a particularly nasty nose bleed one day at the pool, the lifeguards were on hand to help sort it out. They also kept the pool area spotless. The food at this hotel is very good. The buffet can get busy and hectic at certain times but the food itself was amazing. Always fresh fish meat pasta cooked in front of you like a bbq. Excellent choice and I would go as far as to say the food in the buffet was better than the food in the restaurants. The gentleman who organises all the waiters and seats everyone had Excellent organisational skills. We Couldn't fault him and his staff. We had 2 rooms. These weren't close together one in block 4 and one in block 11. This suited us as we had a room both sides of the hotel if we needed to go back to a room we could use the one closest to us depending on which pool we were at. The only annoying thing about this hotel was the sports bar was 16 plus (no children). Our youngest son is 13 and is well behaved so it was annoying we couldn't utilise this. On the night of the world cup final the bar in reception was full so we asked reception if our 13 year old could come into the sports bar as a one off for a special occasion. The reception staff got the manager for us to ask and he was great a real character he allowed our son in the sports bar for the football and was grateful we asked. We like to explore and most nights we used the concierge to book us taxis to the local area Nama bay, Old Market,Soho square and Farsha Cafe, all worth a look. The taxi system is excellent as you pay the hotel concierge for a return then the taxi drops you off and you what's app the driver when you are ready to return and they pick you up. Never had any issues with this a great service. The air con in the room and in reception was a God send as it hit 40 degrees in the day. The room cleaners were amazing always a smile and a good morning. We arrived at the hotel around 11.30 and were pleasantly surprised to see the buffet was still open do we could eat after a long day of travel. The jetty and the sea area were amazing at this hotel for snorkelling remember to buy a snorkle before you come. I love how protective the life guards were over the coral reefs. Of anyone got too close to it they would blow their whistle and ask you to step back. The sea was a lovely temperature to cool down as the pool is heated to 30 degrees. There was a sign saying the pool temp and the ph level of the pool. We never had any issues getting g a sunbed no matter what time of day it was. This hotel is the first hotel I have stayed in that caters enough sunbeds for the amount of guests. No one needs to reserve then in the early morning . Overall this hotel was amazing 20 mins from. Soho square, 15 mins from Namma bay 10 mins from farsha cafe approx 30 mins from the airport. The staff are by far the happiest and hardest workers I have ever seen in an all inclusive resort. Comparing this resort to other simular resorts we have stayed in over the world I would say there is a lack of ice cream at this resort. There is ice cream in the buffet but not by the pools, and there is no specific coffee shop but all the bars do serve coffee. If your thinking of booking this resort
We had a fantastic family holiday at this hotel. It’s been said many times, but the staff are the biggest credit to this hotel. I genuinely believe the staff feel valued too - they are always smiling, and clearly enjoy working together. We stayed in a swim up room. It was a great location and we were so pleased with our room. All very clean, and well looked after. Due to our swim up room, we didn’t spent too much time at the splash pool or adult pool. The splash pool swim up bar could have been a lovely place to spend the afternoon, but sadly was awash with children most days (younger ones) who kicked and splashed way too close to your glass which often meant your drink was diluted with swimming pool water. I totally appreciate it’s a family hotel - and there is an adult pool if you wish to escape children, but it would have been nice to have been able to use the swim up bar. Having said that, the parents should really be policing this, but disappointingly didn’t appear to have any control or discipline (not UK children). The lifeguards are excellent. Special shout out to Karim around the splash pool - who every day came up to our swim up rooms, exchanged towels, created wonderful towel art and cleaned our sunglasses. My son practised his Arabic and we taught Karim some new English. He really made our holiday so enjoyable. Also a shoutout to Mamoud at the Adult pool - looked after us really well, great towel art and so attentive. Mina & Peter at the Splashpool bar were fantastic at keeping us hydrated - Mina created a wonderful cocktail for us - just ask for a Mina Special 🍹. Hossam at the adult pool was chief cocktail maker - his Berry Cocktail was the BEST! He always knows when you’re ready for another, and before you’ve even thought about it, it’s appeared at your side! The chaps in the Egyption restaurant were exceptional - this was our choice for breakfast & lunch - very relaxed, cool and delicious food. Sharif on burgers/sandwiches always made us delicious lunches. I was always presented with an iced coffee for breakfast, which I never needed to ask for - they are excellent at remembering what you like. Our favourite restaurant for evening meal was the Italian (Basilica). The food choice was amazing - we could have eaten in here many times and still not have exhausted the menu. Again all the staff were brilliant - we were genuinely sad to leave. Special shout out to Abdullah, Al Sahid & Islam - who all worked their socks off ensuring you have a good time. We also enjoyed the Mongolian BBQ and the Manohar too. The food is excellent everywhere. Underpinning all the great staff is the fantastic Quality Manager Rafaat. He genuinely cares about all the guests, and his staff. He goes out of his way to check you are having a good time and honestly wants to hear about it if you have any issues at all. We cannot praise him highly enough. I’m sure I have forgotten to mention some - but honestly all the staff here are excellent, the food choice is excellent and the location fantastic. We visited Soho Square - definitely worth the 25 min drive, Old Market - wasn’t so much to our taste, and Farsha Cafe. We very nearly didn’t bother with Farsha - but I’m so pleased we did. It’s hands down one of the best memories of our holiday. We arrived back to the UK yesterday with wonderful memories and new friendships. A fantastic summer holiday and we will be back!
