A great experience at the haunted house; they adapted the experience for 4 and 5-year-old girls and everything was great

Hotel Fiesta Park Benidorm, stay from October 3 to 8. I booked a superior room for 3 adults to have more space. A month before arriving and after making the reservation, I sent an email asking, please, always subject to availability, for high floors and with clear views. I know they had them because I paid for a superior category. They assigned us room 168, on the 1st floor. It is renovated, the only advantage is that you do not have to use elevators. But you deal with all the noise: road, park across the street, and especially the parking lot/main entrance where all the buses stop and load and unload hotel guests, excursions, performances, etc., at any time of day. From 3 in the morning it is impossible to rest: engines running, suitcases, voices right under the balcony. When I mentioned it at the front desk they told me no, just like that, negative. Very labyrinthine entrance: it is the first time I have entered a hotel and the front desk is not at the entrance. You have to go down some stairs or a ramp to the basement and from there go up a glass elevator to the 1st floor where the pool and front desk are, or go up a flight of stairs. Older people were constantly getting lost. Renovated room but without a minibar, everything is for a fee. Pools very small for the hotel's capacity: the one downstairs is very small for when the hotel is full. We went in October in mid-low season, in summer it must be horrible. The heated pool on the 5th floor is a little puddle that covers above the knee for an adult, it is not heated, only glass-enclosed, the water is cold if it is cold outside, and it is only accessed by one elevator out of all the ones the hotel has. Food very, very basic and mediocre, always the same. The all-inclusive is super basic, it's a scam: it's only 4 hours in the morning and 4 hours in the afternoon with a strict schedule. If you arrive from the beach at 6:02 PM you cannot go in to get a sandwich or a hot chocolate for your child. They put out what is left over from lunch: ham, sliced cheese, sliced bread and if there is any dessert left over. Drinks: water, hot chocolate, milk, coffee. It ends at 11:00 PM, not at 12:00 AM. Drinks: the house drinks in the all-inclusive are a horror, terrible. Only the mojito of the day was decent. Draft beer is passable. If you want a well-known brand they don't just charge you the supplement, they charge you for the full drink: 5.50 euros per drink of JB, Ballantines, Beefeater. Water with a dispenser so you can't use a large bottle, you have to keep filling up small bottles. Basic cleaning. Unempathetic reception. The only good and redeeming thing is the bar and dining room staff, who were wonderful. To be fair: the price is very competitive and the location is also very good, central. But everything else makes the hotel look bad.

Okay so i booked this hotel without much research, big mistake. Firstly, it was full of old people, which there's nothing wrong with but as a 26yo i felt very out of place and felt like i was being looked at weird. Also our meal plan was literally called the pensioners meal plan. My fault for not researching enough, but i would say this hotel is not suitable for younger people. Secondly, we were given a room with an awful bathroom, a bathroom of which was not advertised when i booked it online. It was tiny, the bidet didn't work properly and the shower head was facing outwards instead of lengthways, so whenever you turned on the shower, water would pour out all over the bathroom floor. Then, we had ants all over the bathroom floor, and the hotel staff refused to move us at first and tried blaming it on a kitkat wrapper that i had only just put in the bin near my bed (the ants were there before i'd even opened the kitkat). However, to their credit, they did move us (after my mum complained enough) and we got a much nicer bathroom. The food wasn't great, but that is just a personal opinon, and they didn't have many vegetarian options, not even pasta or rice. The indoor pool was also quite dirty. Another personal preference but there was no sunlight around the pool area until around 4pm due to the building blocking it. Those are all the cons, definitely won't be staying again. The only pros i would say would be the location, It's a short 10 minute walk from old town/the seafront, and there's some lovely bars/food places there.
