Just returned from Titanic Palace. Positives: 1- Huge hotel where nothing is missing, several pools, water park, beach, themed restaurants, game room, disco; 2 - Beach water, very hot and clear; 3 - Food quality. Unlike other North African destinations I have been to, no one in the group suffered from intestinal problems, which was fantastic. 4 - Clean rooms, despite being dated (a tip at the beginning of the stay for the maid helps a lot....) Negative points: 1- at low tide the beach water is nonexistent, and at high tide it barely reaches the knees (the alternative is to go to the pier, in the middle of the pier there are some stairs that give access to an area with waist-deep water, and at the end of the pier there is a deeper and supervised diving area); 2- schedules are excessively rigid and in many cases not empathetic. For example, one day we started dinner at 8:30 PM (normal for Portuguese people) and at 9:00 PM they literally started clearing our plates and turned off half the lights in the buffet, and put 4 or 5 around us in a high-pressure mode, it was very bad, 3- Water park closes at 5:30 PM, and there is no minimum helpfulness; 4- We also cannot be in the beach water after the sun sets, they force you to leave; 5- Restaurant staff do not value friendliness, except for exceptions; Now the worst: We were leaving, and a couple arrived late at the bus. The reason was that he was detained at the hotel, prior to getting on the bus, being accused of having damaged the room's TV and demanding a payment of €500 in cash, under duress that they would not leave and would miss the flight. They were zealous and paid with a card, to be in evidence. When two hours passed without them being told anything, the timing and manner of the approach (several men returning to intimidate with shouts) indicated premeditation, because they know that people do not want to miss the plane and prefer to pay to leave as quickly as possible, even if they haven't done anything. Calling the police is an option, but that surely makes you miss the flight. What my astonishment when now in searches I see similar cases that occurred in the same hotel. Therefore, be careful and cautious. Overall, I can say that I liked the hotel, but the TV situation made me very uneasy and alert.....the fear of returning to this hotel will be very high, especially when I read similar situations in the same place. Other tips: Visits to Luxor, Cairo (1-hour flight), islands (Mahmya is a dream), desert safari (buggy and 4-wheel bike) are worthwhile excursions. We booked through Wonder Travel Egypt and it was wonderful, top support and very competitive prices.
This is unfortunately our last day in this nice hotel. We stayed in room 6290 and had a wonderful vacation here. And to start with the conclusion: next year we're back! 😎☀️ 🛏️ Room 6290 Our room was very tidy. The bathroom is, let's say, finished in a bit of an Egyptian way 😂. What we in the Netherlands might call neglected maintenance is apparently part of the charm here. But to be honest: everything was cleaned very well, clean towels every day and the room was just fresh and tidy. And ultimately, we find that much more important than a kit edge that doesn't entirely comply with Dutch building regulations. 😉 We found the location of room 6290 ideal, by the way. Close to the rear pool and it is much quieter there than at the front pools, where there is more music and animation. 💃 Animation We didn't use the animation ourselves - we are more of a team bed, drink, and definitely not high-energy 😂 - but the boys and girls from the animation team were incredibly friendly and especially not pushy. Very nice! 🍽️ Main restaurant We can be very brief about the food: delicious! But forward, something more extensive than that. 😉 At breakfast you can have a fresh egg cooked, there are tasty rolls, lots of sweet rolls and pastries, fruit, fresh orange juice and a delicious cappuccino. Lunch consists for a large part of hot dishes. For Dutch people, maybe get used to it - at home, we usually don't have a complete hot meal ready at 12 o'clock - but there were also tasty soups with bread every day. In the evening we found the food really excellent. There is live cooking every evening, so the food is nicely warm, and every evening has a different theme. Enough choice and actually something tasty for everyone. And then the desserts... 🤤 We're going on, no more messing around with words. They are dangerously delicious. One thing the management could perhaps do something about is food waste. Some guys - especially a number of Polish guests during our stay - seem afraid that the kitchen will suddenly close permanently as soon as they have picked up their plates. 😂 Plates are sometimes loaded to enormous heights and then half of it remains. We heard that about 175 kilos of food were thrown away on average during our period. That is naturally a huge waste. 🌮 Restaurants There are a lot of restaurants where you can eat. We ate at the Mexican, Indian, and grill restaurant, among others. All delicious. But our absolute winner was the Mongolian restaurant. 🥇 What delicious food we ate there! 👏 The staff Titanic Palace really deserves a big compliment. From the bartenders to the cleaners, from the pool staff to the gardeners and everyone else we undoubtedly forget: each one friendly, helpful, and incredibly hardworking. You see how many hours these people work and yet they remain friendly and helpful. We really respect that. Guests During our stay, there were remarkably many Polish guests. Unfortunately, we found some of it quite unfriendly and sometimes inconsiderate of others. Of course, that doesn't apply to everyone, but we did notice it. Besides, there were many German and English guests and relatively few Dutch people. Swimming pools The swimming pool area is divided into three parts. We could always find a daybed and parasol and there is a handy towel service. In addition, the adjacent Titanic Beach Hotel has a large slides park that you can use. Keep in mind that the slides are closed for a few hours in the afternoon. Beach And something else that has nothing to do with the quality of the hotel, but is useful to know in advance. Are you looking for a beach where you can walk into the water from your bed and swim nicely after a few meters? Then this is not the right beach. You can walk about 200 meters into the sea here and the water is sometimes only up to your knees. At low tide, you even think someone has drained the Red Sea. 😂 Fortunately, there is a very long pier from which you can go into the deeper water and also snorkel. We didn't do that in the end because it was quite windy during our stay. ❤️ Our conclusion Titanic Palace might not be perfect in every detail, but we had a fantastic holiday here. A clean room, delicious food, incredibly friendly staff, nice swimming pools, enough sunbeds and a lot of choice in restaurants. The combination of delicious food and the enormous friendliness of the staff pleasantly surprised us. So despite the Egyptian kit edges, the kilometers-long walk through knee-deep seawater and some guests who seem to think there will be no more food tomorrow at the buffet... 😂 We enjoyed it and will just come back next year! ❤️🇪🇬☀️ And then we already know where we are going to eat first: at the Mongolian Restaurant! 😋
Hotel was great, staff were so friendly, lots to do for kids. The kids park is under construction so was unable to use but there is still plenty to do. No fighting for sunbeds as there is plenty everywhere. Food was amazing, plenty of choice lunch & dinner. Went to the grill which is charged and got the tomahawk steak which I found a little bland but the other Al la carte restaurants were great. The family room was spacious, a little bit tired looking could do with some maintenance but was cleaned daily and any issues Ahmed our cleaner sorted it right away. The entertainment at night was fun, the Saturday night beach party was amazing and the kids absolutely loved it. The all inclusive alcohol is wild, they don’t measure at all so sometimes drinks were too strong but if you asked at the bar they would sort it. Also if it’s your first time in Hurghada the outside of the hotel can be make you a little weary but inside the resort is great and cleaned constantly. I would come back in a heartbeat.
