Great location and sea view. Were pleasantly surprised by the room -we were on 1st floor (ground level) in main block with a balcony overlooking the sea which was just lovely. Clean room, comfortable bed, plenty of space and decent shower. Some sign of construction going on by what is called the beach bar but not sure what they’re doing and no one was actually working on it. They were busy putting new glass round a balcony by restaurant. No noise or inconvenience. Food was much better than expected. Plenty of choice and ate far too much. Restaurant got busy at peak times so we ate lunch and dinner not long after opening time. The night we had dinner later was not pleasant - food spilled over the floor etc. though staff worked hard to clear up. Bar round Delphin pool was covered with plastic cups over the bar in the morning. No clear up appeared to happen when shutters went down at 6pm at night so everything sat around attracting wasps etc till opening the next morning. The poor person opening the bar at 10am each morning was faced with the mess so couldn’t then serve you. Drinks dispensers out of order several times over our 4 days. Slushy machine often out of action. Most bar staff worked hard. Other bar staff found multitasking harder and would stand watching the cocktail machine dispense rather than get another drink ready. Pool got very busy and usual scene of multiple beds reserved and not occupied till hours later. We didn’t struggle to get beds and they were comfortable enough with space to move them round as the sun moved -IYKYK! Weather was fabulous. Very hot so didn’t do much apart from sunbathing and swimming in pool. Looked like there’s plenty to do nearby if you wanted activities or trips. On site supermarket open 10-6 and well stocked. Can walk along fairly flat path to Anfi which was nice. Plenty restaurants there is you wanted a change if scene. Gym basic - had dumbbells and machines for basic workout would’ve been too hot as no ac or fans. €15 deposit for pool towel which is returned. Takes a bit of figuring out which lifts go to which floor. Lots of different lifts around the place if you don’t want to use stairs, Couldn’t get a late checkout room as too busy. Costs €35pp for late checkout which we would have paid. There’s a shower past gym that you can use but not great if there’s a few people waiting to use it. Ended up getting in to use it at 5:15 and had a 5:30pm pickup.

Please bear in mind that the hotel is situated on a cliff side - there are many steps and although some lifts these are temperamental. There is a small shop on site and various vending machines. Staff are amazing. Reception are really helpful and friendly. Bar staff can’t do enough - especially Hector and Jonathan. Alcohol was plentiful, no measures. You can have cocktails out of a machine which were delicious. If you want branded drinks you need to pay - but honestly no need to have them. You can get water anytime from a machine - although not always cold. Food variety is limited BUT there is something for everyone. Bearing in mind they are trying to cater for many different people and nationalities. It was always hot and delicious. Rooms are basic but very clean and all the facilities you need. Housekeeping was regular and done to a brilliant standard - and again very polite and friendly. We had a sea view room and MY GOD the views are outstanding and I would suggest upgrading. You DO NOT need to run for beds or be up at the crack of dawn. However if like me you need a sun brollie these are limited so make sure you are at the pool before 9am. The sign says no sunbed reservations but this doesn’t appear to be enforced HOWEVER, may change in height of season. You can go to Puerto Rico by taxi (roughly €7 each way) or bus (unknown didn’t use it) you CANNOT walk it. Reception will call you a taxi. Anfi beach is 10 minute walk from hotel - worth a look as has the most amazing and poshest SPAR shop you’ve ever seen If you want luxurious furniture and surroundings with top of the range facilities then you need to pay a lot more and go elsewhere! This is definitely a 3 touching on 4 star - I wouldn’t say it’s a budget hotel but there is clearly room for improvement which the hotel is doing at the moment - there is evidence that they are spending money to make it better. The building work at the front of the hotel DOES NOT affect anything and you can hardly hear the men working. You cannot use inflatables in the pool (lilos, big rings, balls etc) this is a Spanish regulation and NOT the hotel. There is a lifeguard at both pools however one would argue he can see the pool from where he sits and the fact he’s on his phone all the time. However we did get a young lad and older man towards end of holiday who were very visible and walked around the pool area regularly. Day Entertainment was poor - Zumba or aerobics. Planned games never happened and when questioned the guy just changed the board. Evening entertainment appeared limited but we didn’t attend any so cannot comment. We did see some cockroaches but only when walking around the road. Didn’t see any in our room or anywhere actually in the hotel. The only criticism I have is that even though the pool closes at 6pm, kids & adults were in the pool late around 1am - no one enforced the rules and obviously no lifeguard Bear in mind that if you have a late flight home a late check out is NOT guaranteed unless you book before you travel. Hotel advertises late check out at €35 per person (which is extortionate) and actually not available for anyone when we were there. However, they do offer shower and facilities at the gym for you to use and get fresh towels from reception. We had a great time and lovely holiday. Hotel and facilities did what we needed. We would recommend it to anyone looking for a late getaway. Would we come again - YES!

Here now, bar area during the day and especially the night isn't cleaned there is only one bar staff on and impossible for them to keep up with demand! The entertainment needs updating very poor all day and night. The girls who were here on our last visit were brilliant now not so good!
