I should premise that this was my first time in Sharm, so I have no terms of comparison with other resorts and my evaluation is based exclusively on our experience. The property is huge, but for us, that was a plus: we were looking for a large resort full of amenities. The taf tafs run regularly and the drivers were always very kind. The room (block 57) is dated and needs to be renovated, but it never seemed dirty to us: it is more a matter of furnishings and finishes. If you choose Elisir, you simply need to keep that in mind. Regarding the food, however, I do not agree with the extremely negative reviews: at the Giardino we ate well, always finding something good. It is international resort cuisine, not Italian restaurant food. A huge shout-out to the local staff, who were always kind, helpful, and smiling. ⚠️ THE DCLUB "GIFT": GET INFORMED FIRST This is the part I wish I had read before leaving, and I am writing it above all to prevent other guests from finding themselves in our situation. Upon arrival, a day at the DClub is presented as a gift, accompanied by a short breakfast/meeting to present the Domina Club and its related benefits. Seen this way, it seems like a simple exchange. In our experience, however, it was 3 full hours: from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM. A dedicated consultant asked us numerous personal questions, accompanied us to see a nicer room, and presented the Domina Club service very insistently, trying to convince us to purchase it. What I found particularly lacking in transparency is that, even though it was an economically significant decision (we are talking about thousands of dollars), we were not given the opportunity to evaluate it calmly and review a complete contract with terms and conditions. I also had excursions planned and had tried to avoid the meeting, but I was contacted by phone in my room until I agreed to participate. Result: half a day of vacation lost. When we said we were not interested, we were escorted out and left with directions to the nearest taf taf. I am perfectly fine with a resort proposing and selling additional services. What I did not appreciate is the way this meeting is presented and, above all, the strong sales pressure. If I had known sooner, I would have simply decided consciously whether to participate or not. That is why I am leaving this review: if you are thinking of booking, find out about the DClub first. You could save yourselves a good chunk of your vacation if you already know from the start that you are not interested in a thirty-year plan!
Unfortunately, our stay at Domina Coral Bay was nothing like we expected, and we ended up checking out after just one night. From the moment we arrived, everything felt confusing. We received unclear and sometimes conflicting information about what was included and where we needed to go. The resort is also very spread out, so getting from the room to the beach, restaurants, or bars involves a lot of walking. The drinks were particularly disappointing. The juices served at the bars were powdered drinks rather than packaged juices from well-known brands. The espresso was also poor, and Turkish coffee was only available at an extra charge. We raised our concerns with Mr. Sami at reception, who I believe is part of the management team. He was genuinely respectful and helpful. He went out of his way to provide an espresso machine in our room along with extra capsules, which we truly appreciated. His response was exceptional and deserves recognition. The beach itself was beautiful, and the coral reefs were definitely one of the highlights. However, when we asked for water at the beach bar, we were told to fill a plastic cup from a water cooler instead of receiving a bottle. Honestly, this was the first time I had seen something like this at a resort with such a well-known name. We also asked for juice at the beach bar but were told to walk all the way up to the pool bar, which was quite far. Unfortunately, the drinks there were not good either. Overall, the quality and availability of refreshments across the resort were well below expectations. It also seems that having both timeshare owners and regular hotel guests creates confusion about which services are included for each group. This should be explained clearly at check-in. The beautiful beach and Mr. Sami’s excellent attitude were the main positives. However, the overall experience was disappointing and did not match the resort’s reputation. The hotel seriously needs better organization, clearer communication, improved drink quality, easier access to refreshments, and more convenient transportation around the property.
