Rooms very clean and staff very helpful.. the only ' fly in the ointment ' was at breakfast for the 4 days of our trip .....there was NO BUTTER. Promises each day it would there but no. We had to buy our own as did many other guests

Just come back from a week stay at Ona Hollywood mirage and it’s safe to say I will not be returning. I have Been to Tenerife 8 times and this is by far is the worst! Where do I start…? FOOD: I went half board and that is one of the biggest mistakes I made. There is not a lot of variety at all. Around 6/7 hot compartments (dishes) at total. Breakfast consists of. Hash browns, sometimes bacon rashes, red sausages boiled in water.. scrambled egg that looks like porridge, deli meat counter, bread covered in flies as well as a fruit counter that had melon , grapes , kiwi. Covered in flies!! DINNER: I’ve never had more shocking food in my life for the worst way possible. Survived off chips the whole time of eating at the resort. And trust me I’m not a picky eater. I was hoping the food changed daily but u know from the first night to the last night It will be of the same if not similar food. It consists of chips, boiled chicken drumsticks in water no flavour nothing, fishy rice that taste like it was made in the fish market. Plain pasta and a carbonara sauce. That well… awful! Your half board but at dinner you have to pay for your drinks which they wack the prices up. You pay for half board but for my case I stayed a week but actually only allowed to eat on 6 of those days and on the Wednesday you have to pay because it’s “bbq night” which in my opinion should be included in your half board that you payed for? ROOMS: for the apartment itself was actually really nice! Nice view, nice apartment. However I was given an apartment in dean something I don’t actually remember complex. Room number 4505 ( top floor ) They don’t have a lift or offer help or anything. Walking up multiple cases of stairs with 26kg suitcases and hand luggage is not for the weak and extremely dangerous and exhausting. The reception give u a map of the resort and your left to figure out where your room is out of multiple complex’s. The first 4 nights were peaceful. Until they put a group of lads next to us that lived on the balcony blasting music all night and then on some nights coming back mortal thinking my apartment is there’s screaming and shouting trying to get in my door. Kicking it and pushing it at 4/5 in the morning. I was told that I will receive the cleaners on the Thursday. To clean the apartment. I had seen multiple reviews on here regarding their cleaners and helping themselves to other peoples belongings so I was cautious of this. I put all my valuables in my suitcase with a lock and password. To return to my apartment and the apartment was not clean a few new towels on the kitchen counter tops and old towels removed. However, with photos with time evidence the cleaner attempted to try the password on my suitcase…!! This is extremely unprofessional and also really worrying that staff members think that’s okay? RESORT IN GENERAL: based far from the beach front however, they do have a shuttle bus that takes you down to the beach with 8 time slots available. the hill from the hotel is definitely called cardiac hill for a reason. They have a shop on the premises that again changes the prices suited to their choice. Went in for the same stuff 2 times and i was charged different prices on both occasions. Told the shop keeper that and she shrugged her shoulders… Main pool does not have working umbrellas for shade. To the point the lifeguard said “ you would think they put money into new ones” . He was going around zip locking umbrellas to stay open for people… poolside bar I don’t know how they can charge the prices they charge yet again.. £9 euros for a drink? Check out is at 12pm and asked if there was somewhere to keep my luggage as my pickup was not due till 6pm. The lady said there is a storage room in which gave me directions to it. You have to pay 2 euros to store your luggage and 2 euros for every time u open and close the locker. Safe to say I would not return to this resort even if you payed me.

If you want a quality quiet resort do not go here. It has been opened up to anyone ( love holidays/ booking .com etc who offer ridiculously cheap deals which attract young groups who are disrespectful and out to enjoy a cheap week.
