Ona Hollywood Mirage (prej Hollywood Mirage) je velik apartmajski kompleks s 335 enotami v naselju Oasis del Sur, na pobočju nad krajem Los Cristianos na jugu Tenerifa. Upravlja ga skupina Ona Hotels. Studii in apartmaji z eno ali dvema spalnicama so razporejeni okoli treh bazenov, v kompleksu pa so še restavraciji, wellness in športni center ter otroški klub. Všeč bo družinam z otroki in parom, ki si radi sami pripravijo obroke, a si želijo tudi nekaj dogajanja.
Sobe in nastanitev
Vse enote imajo klimatsko napravo, balkon ali teraso, kuhinjo z mikrovalovno pečico in kuhalnikom za vodo, televizor, sef in brezplačen Wi-Fi, v kopalnici pa je sušilnik za lase. Studii merijo 45 m² in so namenjeni dvema osebama. Apartmaji z eno spalnico imajo 65 m², tisti s pogledom na morje pa 90 m². Največji so apartmaji z dvema spalnicama in dvema kopalnicama, ki merijo 100 m² in sprejmejo do pet oseb.
Objekti in storitve
Kompleks je zasnovan za samooskrbo, zajtrk v restavraciji pa je na voljo za doplačilo. V restavraciji El Bistro strežejo sredozemske in mednarodne jedi, restavracija Mordisco pa ponuja sodobnejšo sredozemsko kuhinjo. Ob bazenu je bar Malibu s prigrizki in pijačo. Trije zunanji bazeni so odprti vse leto, eden od njih je ogrevan, eden pa je otroški. V wellness centru so savna, turška kopel in bazen z masažnimi šobami, v lepotnem centru pa ponujajo masaže, vse proti doplačilu. Fitnes je brezplačen za goste, starejše od 18 let, na voljo sta še dve igrišči za squash, biljard in igralnica. Za otroke skrbi otroški klub, animatorji pa pripravljajo dnevni program in večerne nastope z glasbo v živo. V kompleksu sta še trgovina z živili in recepcija, ki je odprta 24 ur.
Lokacija in posebnosti
Kompleks stoji na ulici Calle Sierra Nevada v naselju Oasis del Sur. Do središča kraja Los Cristianos je okoli kilometer, do plaže Los Cristianos približno 1,5 km. Klanec do hotela je precej strm, zato gostom prav pride brezplačni avtobus, ki vozi do središča kraja in do plaže Las Vistas. Nakupovalno središče Passarela Oasis je slabih 400 metrov stran, nekaj restavracij pa le pet minut hoje. Letališče Tenerife Jug je oddaljeno 14 km, z avtom približno 15 minut. Ona Hollywood Mirage je dobra izbira za daljše bivanje, ko želite več prostora kot v hotelski sobi in bogato ponudbo kar v kompleksu.
Zabavno dejstvo
Iz pristanišča Los Cristianos, okoli 1,5 km od hotela, vsak dan odplujejo ladje na opazovanje kitov in delfinov. V morju med Tenerifom in otokom La Gomera vse leto živijo kiti piloti in velike pliskavke, zato jih je mogoče opazovati v vseh letnih časih. Izleti trajajo od ure in pol do približno treh ur.

Very disappointed with Hotel Ona Hollywood Mirage. We have spent three nights chasing cockroaches in our room. Despite repeated complaints, the problem remains unresolved, and staff have told us we must accept it because they are in all the rooms.The balcony door was also broken on arrival and could not be locked. Poor handling of our complaints and disrupted sleep. We cannot recommend this hotel.
Room was lovely for self catering clean and freash stayed 5 nights bedding and towels changed and cleaned through in the 3rd day.
Appartments were clean and well furnished. We went as a family,3 daughters and their husbands, along with 4 grandchildren aged 14, 12, 9 and 7. We had 2 x 1 bedroom appartments and 2 x 2 bedroom apartments. We booked half board to make life easier. What a disaster. A total waste of money. Firstly the restaurant was closed for renovations. We had not been told. We had to walk down the hill, and back, for our meals. We were sharing the restaurant, if you could call it that, with another complex. The facilities could not cope. Evening meals were 7pm until 9.30. We arrived at 7.30 and asked to sit near each other. We were told, quite rudely, that we should have come earlier. The central island contained the food. Dishes, including basics such as plain pasta, constantly ran out. Knives and forks were in short supply and I often had to wait until they brought fresh ones out from the kitchen. The younger members of our group struggled to help themselves to food because adults constantly pushed in front of them. On one occasion I had to challenge 2 young men and remind them there was a queue and they needed to join it before helping themselves to any of the dishes. Another man in the queue backed me up and they moved. Where were the staff? Breakfast was erratic. Although it was supposed to run between 7.30 and 9.30 am they had often run out of bread by then. The problem seemed to be families making sandwiches for lunch. We just wanted bread with our breakfast. Coffee cups were a rarity after 9 and we were offered plastic cups. At the water dispenser people just stood there filling glasses and drinking them in order to refil them whilst the rest of us queued. Dishes were not collected from tables between courses and, on 2 occasions, I delivered them to the kitchen area myself. We are not particularly demanding as a family and the night they did steak on the grill was fine. The next night was salmon and it was raw in the middle. We ended up so frustrated that we went across the road for pizza, pasta with a sauce and chicken. Same price as our evening meal in the restaurant but with cheaper drinks. After 3 days we asked to cancel the halfboard element as the food and facilities were so bad. They offerred to serve us a beefburger each on a patio near the restaurant being renovated. The pools are great, the place is clean, the food is awful. Don't make the mistake we made and book half board. The Italian, just across from the entrance was great. Food was hot, drinks were reasonably priced abd the staff were lovely.
