Clean rooms (although we did have to chase that up as well as bedding. We wasn't cleaned for 3 days.) The areas around the hotel are clean and tidy. The was a sewage smell near the toilets in reception. Food was cold and only had the dinner once the whole holiday and breakfast and lunch was disappointing. Pool size is good a size and 8ft deep in the deep end. Down side children aren't allowed to play with inflatables or balls in the pool which seemed unfair as there is an adults only bit upstairs with own pool. Staff seemed friendly and good with children! Not all drinks are covered in all inclusive either which wasn't explained when we purchased the holiday. All in all an average hotel and I would choose self catering and save on the disappointment.

Where do I even begin? If your standards are anything below 3-star accommodation, then this might be the place for you. Personally, I would rate it half a star, one at a push. The overall cleanliness and condition of the hotel were well below what I would expect from accommodation advertised as 3-star. Our flight was delayed, so we didn’t arrive at the hotel until midnight. We were handed a bag containing sandwiches that were dried out and curling at the edges, along with a couple of bruised apples. It was an absolutely awful welcome after a long journey. Things got worse when we entered our room and discovered that the mattress was heavily soiled. It was genuinely disgusting and looked as though it hadn’t been cleaned in a very long time. When we raised this with reception, we were told it was too late at night to do anything about it. As a result, we felt we had no choice but to sleep on the sofa until we could contact Jet2 the following day. Thankfully, the mattress was eventually replaced with a brand-new one on day two. The condition of the rooms is extremely disappointing. Everything looks poorly finished, with very little care or attention to detail. For a holiday costing £1,250 per person, I would expect basic standards of cleanliness, including clean mattresses, fresh bedding and clean floors. Unfortunately, the standard fell well below what we consider acceptable. The cleanliness issues didn’t stop at the room. There was a foul smell coming from the pool drains, and the artificial grass around the lifts also gave off an unpleasant smell. These things made us reluctant to spend much time around the hotel, so we chose to spend most of our holiday out and about instead. I do want to give credit where it is due, though. Jet2 have been fantastic throughout this experience. They contacted us every day to check whether the hotel had resolved the issues and even looked into transferring us to alternative accommodation. Unfortunately, as it was half-term and hotels were fully booked, a transfer wasn’t possible. We really appreciated their efforts and the support they provided. We booked this holiday to celebrate my son’s 18th birthday, and all we wanted was for him and his friend to have a lovely time. Thankfully, they enjoyed themselves, but it is disappointing that the accommodation wasn’t what we had hoped for, especially given the amount we paid and the occasion we were celebrating. I appreciate that standards and expectations can vary from country to country, and what one person considers acceptable may be perfectly fine for someone else. However, for us, the cleanliness and overall condition of this hotel simply weren’t up to standard. To make matters even worse, cockroaches were spotted around the swimming pool area and near the rooms. We also saw dead cockroaches that appeared to have been trodden on and left around the accommodation. This was yet another unpleasant sight and only added to our concerns about the hotel’s overall hygiene and cleanliness. I appreciate that cockroaches can be common in warmer climates, but that doesn’t make it acceptable to find them around areas where guests are expected to relax and enjoy their holiday. Would we return? Absolutely not. We certainly won’t be booking this hotel again, and I would advise anyone considering staying here to look carefully at recent reviews before making a decision. A holiday should be somewhere you can relax and feel comfortable, not somewhere you have to question whether your bed is clean or worry about the hygiene of your surroundings. Unfortunately, this hotel fell far short of our expectations and was a huge disappointment, particularly for what was supposed to be a special 18th birthday celebration.
