Spent a week in Leonardo while hotel is central it is very outdated rooms roomy enough except for bed hard as wood had to climb over a bath to get to shower no kettle in room option to rent for 10 euro don’t know where to start when it comes to food breakfast ok evening meal worst I have ever seen ended up going out to eat

Our 11 night stay was our first time staying at this hotel and in the center of Torremolinos. Like most of the other reviews, it,s in a good location , clean, and beds are comfortable. Showers great. Plenty of room around the pool, and great staff. That,s about all it has going for it , I,m afraid. We were so lucky that our stay coincided with the week long "Stars in the Sun "Irish Show that provided after show, late night entertainment in the main bar, and two afternoons also, top class song and music performers. I,d dread to think how dull it would have been without that, as the bar normally closes at 11pm. The lifts are so slow, the airport transfer was almost faster than trying to get down for evening dinner.! Breakfast was fine and I tried to book a B&B only option , but it,s not available. €4 per day for the safe is costly , it should be free. I mentioned in the booking that we were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary during our stay , but didn't even get the luxury of 2 bottles of water in our room on arrival. ! I heard all the staff are being left go at the end of October, as it,s closing down for that badly needed refurbishment , maybe that explains some of the rude behaviour by some. ?

I'm not usually one to write a review, but this time I just couldn't not! I understand that the hotel has recently been taken over and is due to be fully refurbished, but the condition of the rooms is beyond worn. Yes, we only use the hotel as a base, but honestly, it felt more like staying in a Butlin's resort. The units were badly damaged, with missing grout and mouldy silicone in the bathrooms. Everything felt tired and in desperate need of attention. And then there's the food... I'm usually someone who can find something to eat wherever I go, but most of the food was either completely tasteless or cold. I thought I'd try a fresh tray of rice, expecting it to be nice and hot, but nope — it was stone cold! There was also no entertainment on the evening during our stay, and to top it all off, the pool was closed for two of the days we were there. I appreciate that changes may be coming with the new ownership and refurbishment, and hopefully things will improve. However, based on our experience, the hotel really wasn't up to standard, and there is a lot of work needed to bring it up to an acceptable level. Sadly, this isn't somewhere I'd be rushing back to in its current condition.
