This was our second holiday at Princesa Yaiza after a really positive experience in 2025. Overall this is a wonderful hotel, exceptionally well run and with brilliant attentive staff. For a young family the Capitan Park is remarkably good value, plus the evening entertainment every day of the week. The only disappointment was the temperature in the theatre area which was uncomfortably hot for 3-4 days, despite the fact that I complained on day 1. Eventually I had to go to guest services and all of a sudden, the air con was switched back on. Even the bar staff were complaining about it. Rooms are spacious and immaculately clean. It's rare to find a hotel still offering a turn-down service and it's a lovely touch here on top of the daily clean. Wifi is free and covers the whole hotel but there are times when it's slow or simply doesn't work at all. The pools are pleasant and never excessively busy. The upper pool was heated this year, which is a massive improvement, although only for the first half of the week which was odd. Loungers are claimed early and this is only selectively policed by poolside staff - the hotel needs to decide whether reserving a lounger is or is not allowed. Removing some towels while others are left is hard to understand. Food is great quality, especially the dinner buffet which does well considering the footfall and 4hr service. We love the daily theme and the variety. Service at dinner is always outstanding, in our experience. It's confusing that water is free at breakfast but charged for at dinner. We once again had dinner in the Kampai japanese restaurant which was a very good experience for the whole family. We tried the cafe in the family annex for lunch one day and this was a really poor experience - just one member of staff trying desperately to look after the bar and the lunch service. We ordered a bottle of white wine and the only bottle available was warm. In the end we left and went to the Tunera cafe in the main hotel, which was consistently excellent. The annex felt like we were visiting a different hotel. The Spa is the part that probably lets this place down. I remarked last year that it was looking tired and unloved and nothing has been done in the ensuing 12 months - in fact it looks worse. Crumbling tiles, evidence of rust, peeling paintwork - it could be a stunning facility but at the moment it is in poor condition. Not helped by the fact that we booked a couples' treatment on the app for the following day, only to turn up and be told this was only a "request" rather than a firm booking, and in fact there was nothing available. If restaurants can be booked on the app then I see no reason why the spa can't function in the same way. Overall we left again with positive impressions of Princesa Yaiza. The animation team are amongst the best in the business so thank you to them for making our children feel so welcome and safe. The daily soccer school was also a big hit with our 8-year-old son. We will definitely be back, although I hope that when we return we see evidence that the owners continue to invest in the facilities, especially the spa. We would also love to see an all-inclusive option as well.

This is a beautiful hotel in a great location, perfect for families. The staff and kids club were excellent and we loved the different pool areas.

From the initial booking, the welcome from Carla and the front of house staff, the pool, bar restaurant and the entertainment team, this really is a family friendly half term break. it was or fourth visit with three grandchildren 6-9-14years and all of them want to come back again next year.
