Honest review. Check in - VERY rude member of staff (05/07/26 - around 4pm - lady - glasses) horrible attitude and gave zero information about the hotel, what time breakfast is, facilities etc etc. Upon check in we noticed there was small rips in the linen, although rooms seemed clean. Very dated decor and showering facilities badly in need of update. No amenities in room aside from a safe, no team making etc. Breakfast selection just “ok” with them being extremely rigorous with you not taking food away for the day. I understand this but the signs and the amount of staff watching and checking makes you feel like you are in HMP Belmarsh. The plates for breakfast given are side plates not dinner plates. The cups are also extremely small for water. Extremely busy and a que to get in at the non preferred times. The whole hotel is very dated. We asked for boiling water at the bar and was quoted €2.50 for the privilege. This being me onto one of the wildest things about the hotel, the cost of almost anything. I will name but a few, Monster energy drink €6 Small chocolate bar €3 CAN of coke €4.90 200ml smoothie €7 Anything on sale here is eye watering and astonishingly, cheaper in the parks! Unfortunately with only a petrol station in walking distance distance they have a captive audience. We have stayed at dream castle down the road and for the same price this is a complete no brainer to go back there. Avoid like the plague and go to a different hotel. Plus points: petting zoo, generous enough to let you use a microwave in reception area, bed comfy

Rooms are filthy, esp the carpet. Room was far too warm with no way to cool it down. Steps up to top bunk were incredibly sore on your feet. Shower was awful. Took me 20 mins fighting with the taps to get the shower to come on. Smelt awful. The black mould up the floor/wall was a delightful treat. (See pics) Had dinner in the restaurant. Terrible! Pizza base was raw. Caesar salad wasn’t fresh. Breakfast you’re handed a plastic tray like a school cafeteria. All I could eat was a croissant. Real lack of choice. God forbid you try to bring in a bag. They actually think you’re gonna try to steal the crappy selection. My daughter is autistic and carries her backpack everywhere. The staff made such a fuss about her bag, I had to get her to set it aside. “The Bar” is beside the washing machines. Was served a pina colada with a brown slice of pineapple.
