Not a bad location, plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. During our stay we found the inside bar closed. There was also a lot of internal work going on, which we were not informed of. When complaining at reception they informed us it was private apartments within the hotel and there was nothing they could do about it. The noise at times was horrendous. The room itself was very clean and the stall all round did a good job. I emailed Coral Hotels several times with details asking for a complaint form but never ever received a reply, which I thought was rude, because there are private apartments in this hotel and no reply from Coral Group we would never stay here again.

This was my fourth stay at Teide Mar over the last 25 years, and I've had an excellent experience every time. The staff are kind and helpful, and the room was spotlessly clean. We stayed in a refurbished room on the 6th floor and the new beds are exceptionally comfortable. The kitchenette was well-stocked with everything we needed for drinks and snacks. We did not prepare meals other than breakfast as we like to enjoy local restaurants (I can heartily recommend Luna Caprese for excellent pizzas, about 200yds from Teide Mar) We love the location of Teide Mar, it is quiet and peaceful with plenty of shops and a supermarket very close by. It's a steep walk up and down into the town centre, so might not suit everybody, but we enjoyed the walk and the lovely views over the sea and town. A taxi into town costs 5€ and there's a rank directly outside the hotel. For trips further afield the bus stop to Santa Cruz, La Laguna and the airport is five minutes walk away, which makes days out easy. Teide Mar is perfect for us as we only ever use our accommodation for sleeping and showers, and like to spend our money on experiences (and meals out!) so don't require a 5 star hotel - that said, Teide Mar is excellent value for money, and is safe and clean and comfortable. The gardens and pool area are beautiful and well maintained - we chose a room with a pool view so we could enjoy looking at Mount Teide. Thank you once again for a lovely holiday, I'm sure we will be back again.
