I booked with booking com who had had a security breach and everyones data went viral in India which led to 4 very believable phishing emails on the date of the payment. The hotel had the same breach so the data spread everywhere. It is a budget hotel in a nice area walking distance down 251 steps from the center of Puerto de la Cruz with lots of restaurants, small shops and bars. The rooms have a tiny kitchenet with a few dishes, mostly poorly washed. Pretty white tiles and a balcony with 2 cheap plastic chairs and a table. A double bed with big pillows, a saggy, soft matress with a plastic cover which makes you sweat. A flat screen tv of terrible quality with solely spanish spoken chanels. The water pressure on the 6th floor is non existent. There is basicly no cold water, just hot, scorching hot. You can flush the toilet no sooner than at 5 min. intervals and the toilet bowl wobbles. The valve to change the water from tap to shower is lose and cant be replaced. The shower is in a bathtub with a dirty cloth curtain. Nice large mirrors and marble surfaces in the bathroom and a make up mirror. There are no hooks of any sort to hang anything , not towels, coats etc. Good darkening curtains, soccets by the bed on both sides. A half high wall dividing the room into bedroom and kitchen area, works well. There are 2 working elevators and stairs with dirty, warn carpet. Mostly everything is worn and dirty except for the settee and glas table. It is advertised with a nice, quiet pool in a green garden and a pretty breakfast room. Non of that was available on our arrival. The pool was under refurbishment and no other there on the premises and the whole area including the bar and garden were fenced off. The work on the pool with circular saws and hammer drills started every morning at 8 and finished when it got dark. The dust was all over the room and the balcony. The noise was even with a shut balcony door loud enough not to be able to talk. There was no refund option or compensation for the loss of most of the facilities. We could walk to several other hotels to use their pool area for the day. In the area there are many other hotel options in a similar price range which seemed a lot better than this one, I would recommend to book there. When you look at the reviews pay attention to the amounts of reviews each person has done. All the high star ones are members with just 1 review and most of the negativ ones are old reviewing-pros with lots of reviews.

Excellent place, good location, comfortable, clean rooms and good service

The hotel's location is perfect, it has shops and supermarkets around it, you get to the center of Puerto de la Cruz in 20 minutes walking and about 8/9 minutes by car, they do not have parking available for the vacation apartments, the parking they have is for other tenants in the apartment residential complex who, by the way, must be the same ones who have banners hanging from the balconies saying that Coral Teide Mar is not a hotel...... in the October season it didn't take us long to park, just a couple of laps, I have to mention that they have an entertainment venue right next door called La Cla that if they have a party, get ready not to sleep because of the music until 2:30 in the morning and people acting crazy at 3/4 in the morning, you also hear everything, the cars and motorcycles that pass by and the neighbor in the apartment next door who goes out to the balcony to cough at 6 in the morning for example.... At least the bed is very comfortable and whatever sleep you can get will be fine, they don't have a pool since they are under construction but they give you a ticket so you can visit the pools of the apartments next door, we booked the apartment more than 8 months ago and no one warned us that the pool and garden area would be under construction, I found out that it didn't have a pool and that they were under construction two weeks before traveling because I called to ask a question and with little notice we couldn't change apartments. The staff in general and especially at the front desk are very pleasant and kind.
