A fantastic family holiday at Coral Sea Waterworld! I stayed at Coral Sea Waterworld for a week in mid-October with my wife and young child. Having visited Egypt in July and stayed at another hotel just a few doors down, we decided to try somewhere different this time and we certainly weren’t disappointed. We arrived close to midnight, but check-in was quick and straightforward. We were escorted to our room, with our luggage arriving shortly afterwards, and were pleased to find sandwiches and refreshments waiting for us in the restaurant. It was a lovely welcome after a long journey. The hotel grounds are spacious and beautifully maintained, with plenty of pools, bars and conveniently located toilets. You regularly see the gardeners working hard, and their care and attention to detail really show. The water park was a real highlight. There’s a brilliant variety of slides, including mat slides, body slides and rubber ring rides, alongside a lazy river and two smaller splash pools for younger children. The centrally located snack bar is a great addition, making it easy to spend a good part of the day there. The beach is lovely too, and the long pier takes you out to some fantastic snorkelling spots. We thoroughly enjoyed the à la carte restaurants, and booking them was very simple. The Indian, Italian and Chinese were all excellent. Our only disappointment was missing out on the steakhouse. It shares its venue with the Indian restaurant, with the two operating on different days, so it’s worth planning your bookings early if you want to try both. It was a little frustrating but certainly didn’t spoil our stay. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout. A small tip here and there was always appreciated, and we often felt treated like royalty. A shout out to Abdullah who works at the bar around the waterpark. He was really friendly, and couldn't do anymore for you! For shopping, we found the hotel’s own shops very expensive. However, just outside to the left, there are around six or seven shops, most with friendly shopkeepers. Metro was particularly good value. We also visited the shopping precinct across the road, but found the constant approaches from sellers quite wearing, especially as many of the shops sold much of the same things. My main niggle was the size of the drinks cups. Drinks were often served in very small plastic cups, which meant heading back for a refill after just a couple of mouthfuls. Larger cups would make a noticeable difference, and were mainly only served on an evening in the restaurant or unless you tipped a few quid. Overall, we had a fantastic week. The beautiful grounds, excellent water park, great food and friendly staff made Coral Sea Waterworld a brilliant choice for our family holiday. We've booked to come back next October!

From the moment we arrived at this hotel it has been nothing but top star service. Absolutely amazing staff, so welcoming, friendly and always made us smile. The staff work so hard, it was immaculately clean. The food was amazing, there was nothing you could fault at all! Definitely will be returning as a family to this resort. The location only being 20 mins from airport was just perfect. Great value for money. All round amazing stay here.
