Arrived extremely late in the night and some one welcomed us and showed us to our rooms. Was disappointed the room had no view, we were like in an internal space with rooms below and above and one next to us which my daughter later moved too. We had a small kitchenette which had a coffee machine but no jug, so quick trip to lidl and bought a small kettle :) The room was large and clean and had what was needed in it. The bathroom again was spacious and had a full sized bath, my daughter's room had a very small bath. Water was always hot. The pool was great and always plenty of beds and space, there is a bar up there which has a small menu. The man who runs it turns up at no designated time and your unable to take your own drinks or food there, so some times your waiting a long time to rehydrate. Food is great and reasonable priced, I just wish he would allow cards as we had to go and get cash back at the reception many times to be able to pay. A few days the maid didn't bother with our cleaning, i thought it was because we had left something on the bed, but my daughters wasn't cleaned either, three days on the bounce, was the longest. When they did change the sheets there was a rip in the bedding. Took it off as didn't want my daughter playing with it and making it worse. My only complaints were other guests, smoking drugs openly by the pool and also on balconies. When you have small children and babies in the hotel I don't feel this is acceptable. One night both rooms were disturbed by some very loud adult action, the screaming from her and the "bulldog noises" from him, not necessary😂😂 Being asked by a 7year old what the noises were was a hard one to reply too😂😂 Underneath is we had a spanish family of all adults who felt it was ok to sit on their balcony till 02.30/3am nightly talking and drinking. Had we not been in a sealed space this might not have been so bad. It was like being in a huge chimney space is the only way to describe it. It would be better to be told balconies out of bounds after a certain time. You can't shut the balcony doors as there is no air con and we did rent a fan, but you also need fresh air. There is limited parking spaces but the staff were amazing and saved us a disabled space every day as it's a ten min walk to get from the hospital where there is ample free parking. I did take my UK badge with me and it was accepted every where. Do not do like we did though in town and use a disabled space with a number on it, as we got towed😂😂 this is resident private disabled parking. You have to pay the police and the tow company. Didn't book the breakfast so can't say what it was like. There are cleaning products and tea and coffee you can buy in the reception, we went to lidl and got salt and pepper for less than a euro and washing up liquid was similar price. Jar of Nescafé hazelnut coffee and milk for our daily brew :) The hotel is up a large hill, doesn't take long to walk down, we had two kids and a push chair and still only took about ten mins, didn't try to walk back up, taxis varied from 4 euros to 5.80 euros. Outside the reception are some seats and the children loved to watch the many lizards basking in the sun or running around. Didn't see any living cockroaches there but they were aplenty in the town and large:) Will definitely return but will ask for a balcony with a view as would have been nice to have had pizza on the balcony and not have to sit and look at four brick walls. Would have used the outside space far more than for just drying swim wear on the drying racks supplied. As stated early on the hotel is fine, clean and reasonable priced, some of the spanish guest's not so thoughtful.
Health and Hygiene Failure – Disastrous 10-Night Stay I recently completed a 10-night stay at this property booked through Booking.com, and it was a complete nightmare regarding health, safety, and basic sanitation standards. The hotel has a widespread, active cockroach infestation and lizards that enter the room. The issue was so severe that I found multiple cockroaches inside my living space alongside lizards. I immediately reported these severe hygienic deficiencies to the front desk. Reception acknowledged the problem and moved me to three different rooms over the course of our stay. Shockingly, the cockroach infestation persisted across all three rooms. The first room I stayed in, room 402, had brown liquid seeping through the wall onto the floor. When I challenged reception, the guy made jokes that oh maybe a rat had killed another rat between the walls and that's where it was from. This, as I'm sure you can appreciate is very scary to a person with Asperger's Syndrome/Autism. I was then moved to room 317 and Unfortunately, the pest issue persisted across the property. The lizards kept entering into my room which I told reception and the same guy that I told about room 402 stated that the lizards are harmless and 'are like puppies', when I challenged him about them coming into the room and he said if I don't like them I should keep my balcony door closed and not go out onto my balcony which I'm sure you can appreciate is not a thing that you want to do if you're on holiday, you want to go on the balcony. I couldn't even open the balcony door, or sit on the balcony or eat my dinner on the balcony. This is the room where I also saw the first cockroach. I was then moved to room 206, where I saw two cockroaches on the balcony in this room, one alive and one which was dead. When challenged, the receptionist guy who I spoke to the last two times (who said the lizards were like puppies) picked up the cockroach in a paper tissue, put it against his mouth and pretended to kiss it, which as I'm sure you can understand to a person with autism and Asperger's Syndrome which I have, is very scary. This is not an isolated incident; it is a systemic failure of the property’s pest control, disinfestation protocols, and basic habitability standards. Living out of suitcases and changing rooms three times completely ruined my holiday. I have preserved full photographic and video evidence of the insects across the different rooms and am currently escalating this matter directly to Booking.com customer support and the Canary Islands Tourism Inspection Board (Gobierno de Canarias) for a health code violation audit. Avoid this hotel if you value cleanliness and health. Absolutely unacceptable for a registered tourism establishment.
Just back from a week's stay here with a group of friends. Had a lovely time, staff very friendly and helpful, rooms were cleaned every day and had everything you could need, big terrace outside room . Area was very quiet or maybe it was because it was very early in the year. Short walk (1KM) to get to the main tourist area where there are loads of restaurant's and shops. Great value for money, roof top pool, and bar/snack bar were great (Manuel was extremely helpful). Overall lovely stay
