Room: Urban Superior Twin Room (Booking.com) Stay: July 10-23, 2026 When we booked the room on Booking.com it said we would have a fan instead of AC, but when we arrived we saw that our room had an AC unit which was excellent, especially since we stayed during a heat wave. We also unexpectedly had a fridge which was very useful as well. There were a couple minor issues with the room such as the window letting in a lot of noise from the outside even when closed (had to wear earplugs for the first couple of days) and the sliding door to the bathroom not staying closed, but overall we were happy with the room. Beds were a little narrow and firm. The trash cans in the room were very small; we had to ask them to empty them a couple of times. There was one time we asked them in the morning and came back in the evening to see that they hadn't emptied them so we had to ask them again. You cannot reach the hotel via telephone as they keep you on hold forever and no one answers; they are also rather unresponsive on WhatsApp. However, the front desk staff was always helpful when we needed something and they let us use their phone when one of us needed to make an important call. Housekeeping makes the beds but we noticed that they do not actually change the bedsheets (as evidenced by a small spill on the blanket still being there after they made the beds). There are only four elevators which were very slow, and at least one was out of service for most of our stay; this was our biggest issue with the hotel as it took a long time to get to and from our hotel room. We stayed on the 7th floor but we talked with someone who was on the 12th floor who had to walk down to the 11th floor to get elevator access which sounds brutal. Location was excellent, right next to Soho and close to the Tottenham Court Road underground station; there are not many hotels in this central of a location for the price you get here, so overall we thought this was excellent value for what we got.

The location of this hotel is excellent, but the standards have dramatically changed since my last stay, self check in now, no warm Welcome, no tea and coffe facilities anymore, paying for card key, also The breakfast was expensive for what you get, the scrambled egg, looked vile far Too Runny, plus sign very well air conditioned, Will Stay stay again only for the pure reason for location for shows

This property has gone drastically downhill under its current management and is easily one of the worst hotel experiences in central London. I am very disappointment with STG Hotel : No porters anymore, no warm welcome,only self-check-ins, The breakfast was very basic, not the same as last year, bad quality. Very unfriendly staff. A fee for luggage storage per item (10£) !!!! They only want your money as much as they can. Even for the doorkey you have yto pay 1 pound. The rooms are poorly cleaned and maintained and very basic. Zero hospitality, zero security, and terrible value for money. Do yourself a favor and book somewhere else. Not a 3 star hotel for me but a no star hotel !!
