This Hotel has changed a lot since being taken over by the recent owners & not for the better. The location is great but the changes that we have noticed are as follows: 1 - Hardly any reception staff, mostly self check in. 2 - No tea making facilities in your room. 3 - A 10AM check out time. 4 - A charge of £10 per item to leave your luggage in their storage.
I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Atif Qayyum for his outstanding customer service during my stay at the STG Hotel in London. When I checked in, I was unfortunately given a room that was of a lower category than the one I had reserved. As soon as I explained the situation to Atif, he immediately took my case seriously. He went above and beyond to help me resolve the issue, keeping me informed throughout the process and making sure I was taken care of every step of the way. His professionalism, kindness, and genuine concern made a huge difference to my experience. Thanks to his dedication, I was finally able to get the room I had originally booked. Employees like Atif are a real asset to the hotel. His commitment to guest satisfaction is exceptional, and he truly deserves recognition for his excellent work. Thank you again, Atif, for making my stay so much better!
The new owners have completely ruined this hotel. After many years of using This once great hotel, I’ll shall never return. Rooms filthy - only get cleaned every 4 days Have to ask reception for clean towels and loo paper, which they are stocked in the reception area?? No bins emptied - completely unhygienic! I booked a double standard room, at a much higher cost than the previous ownership, we got a single room with a double bed, one beside cabinet and light, no kettle- which we used to get and no fan - which we used to get! All the old staff had been let go and the replacements are rude and have a “couldn’t give a damn” attitude. Charging £10 for storage of suitcase! No proper concierge service. A last note - if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. So disappointed- goodbye St Giles. You were once a great place to stay, sadly you are a now an utter failure
