Just come back after a week, we went self catering.
We arrived at 9pm and were told the restaurant closed at 8.30, no offer of a sandwich or anything which wasn’t a great start. Told there was a supermarket about 15mins away so we walked to find it, luckily there was a restaurant next door called the Beirut.
The hotel is very nice, good pool, and accommodation was good.
It is remote not very much around but we got the last shuttle at 5.15 where there are lots of lovely restaurants, cocktail bars. Taxi home including tip was 7 euros. There is a bus so if we go again we would look into it.
Majority of people go all inclusive we did have dinner at the hotel once but we didn’t find the food that great so glad we went self catering.
We would definitely come here again.
Ocenjeno z amitG7951NWReally good for the price.
The place is quiet and calm compared to other places in Gran Canaria. The environment is chilled, you can either sit outside your private bungalow or by the pool. The pool bar is decent but is limited for alcoholic beverages but beside that, all else is great. There is seating built into the pool and is great for keeping cool while sunbathing. There is also a shallow kids pool but honestly haven’t seen many kids around here. The rooms are great, you have a common room type area, equipped with a sofa, a TV, fridge and coffee station. The bathroom is basic, with a walk in shower and basin but is spotlessly clean. The bedroom has comfy mattresses, has a duvet and a TV and a good amount of storage. Outside you are given 2 sun loungers, 3 outdoor chairs and a table which we used for evening activities.
The hotel also has live singing until 11pm.
The only downfall to this hotel is the food. The buffet is small and limited with choices. Same goes for the lunch menu at the pool bar. However, whatever you choose, it is tasty and delicious. If you don’t mind spending money while being all inclusive then restaurants on the beach front are great and are relatively cheap.
There is also a supermarket around a 10 minute walk away from the hotel.
Other than that, the hotel is environmentally friendly, the staff are great and provide a great service and the atmosphere is brilliant if you are looking for a relaxing holiday.
Ocenjeno z E2995APconniemLovely relaxing stay
We had a lovely relaxing stay at canary garden club, our welcome from the lady on reception was very warming and we were seated with a plate of salad and fruit which was nice after a late arrival.
The hotel is super clean and well maintained, the pool was cleaned every day and the pool area also cleaned in the morning, no rushing to put your towels down sun-beds available all day.
The staff were all very friendly and helpful, the only thing letting the hotel down for us was the food. Breakfast was the best out of the 3, the mixed salads at lunch time were lovely but apart from that we were disappointed. Dinner limited options again, lots of nice fruit and salad but did become repetitive, we ate out twice for dinner at Maximilians which was lovely to switch it up.
We would definitely return either B&B or self catering based on the relaxing feel and atmosphere of the hotel just a shame about the food.
