Having just returned from a week all inclusive I will say we had a good week away just lacked that wow factor in a few areas. Firstly for the money we paid I can’t grumble too much… so for value it is really good! Rooms are big enough for a family of 4, not huge but enough room, they’re equipped with a kettle with tea/coffee and a hairdryer which is a good touch! The main thing that lets the rooms down are how uncomfortable the beds are! I know mattresses are to everyone’s firmness but these are like sleeping on the floor. So much so I ended up putting pillows underneath me to make it more bearable and ease my back pain! The pools are as a general clean and tidy and see them getting cleaned each morning! Yes there is a whiff of cat pee every now and then but I wouldn’t say it’s unbearable as I’ve seen others say. Some lifeguards let you use balls/inflatables and some don’t which is a bit frustrating as even for me I couldn’t touch the floor in a lot of places and just a ring is handy to hold on too! The food on breakfast/lunch/dinner is very samey and bland but I can’t say I ever went hungry aslong as you like chips and pizza! If you’re after anything gluten free then see the lady chef in black overalls, she is very accommodating and understanding which eased my wife eating as she has coeliac disease and any form of cross contamination sets her off! The entertainment in our opinion was really poor. Especially the evening entertainment! The stage location and layout does it no favours whatsoever. In every other hotel I’ve been in it has scattered tables and chairs where people sit down and around with drinks and games etc. but how it’s set out with chairs in a row puts people off. Also there was no adult entertainment throughout the day. It was always kids entertainment and/or mixed with the likes of archery with sucker ends etc. after I see that I didn’t bother with anything else in truth as was clearly aimed at kids which I don’t have a problem with but maybe an adult only entertainment programme wouldn’t go a miss either. We found ourselves going out into the towns to seek a bit of an atmosphere as it was dead most nights. As a whole most of the staff are friendly and helpful and the rooms were cleaned daily with towel changes so again no problem there. Like I say we had a good week away it was just a shame it was lacking a bit of a spark. Others are right in saying it’s definitely a 3* and not 4*! Thankyou for the stay but it is very unlikely we will return.

During my stay I loved it and the staff were great. No problem whatsoever. Also, the rooms could do a bit of a paint or a little bit of up to date work. The beds are comfy and I love everything about it. WiFi had its tantrums but still great. The pool was clean and nice, glad to see it was deep too. The food though really needs an improvement though. There’s not much selection and it feels like nearly everyday it’s just fish or mussels. The mussels are nice though. It’s the only reason I didn’t put excellent. Holiday World was just over the road but I didn’t really do anything there. Some old shopping centre called Faro 2 looked proper derelict and old it was abandoned but it had about 2 more shops! Probs won’t last longer though. Spar was kinda far because the one next to us was being renovated. The activites were great and the animation team was awesome! They all really got along with the kids and stuff and were friendly. I don’t know his name but the entertainment guy (he had a French accent I think ) was really funny. I loved him, and the people. The cleanliness was probably 5/5. The shower was really nice and the bathroom was squeaky clean. We were over the road from the main bit and the road so it wasn’t that loud. Perfect sound level. And we had a pool behind us. All in all, great hotel. Would come back again. Loved it. I wrote this now because I leave tomorrow. Great hotel, goodbye!
