The location is good close to the strip and the beach like a 5 minute walk with plenty of bars and restaurants. The hotel is busy, we come at the start of August, the pool is not big enough for the size of the hotel though, and oh my god getting a sun lounger in the morning is horrific. There are three doors that are locked and automatically open at 9am you are quite literally pushed up against the glass by people with everyone pushing and shoving, I wouldn’t take small kids/prams with you if your joining in with that because they will get hurt I almost went feral when someone shoved my daughter. It’s that much of a facade people are filming it from the balcony’s that overlook the pool, people are falling over and getting trampled on its nuts. Once at the pool, it’s alright the younger children love it, food served all day drinks/ice creams etc that part is ideal for families. There are not enough sun beds or umbrellas for the size of the hotel either. We never went to the night time entertainment we usually went out on the strip. The rooms, they’re basic and small but cleaned daily which is nice, my biggest gripe of this holiday bearing in mind the heat has been intense is the air con, it doesn’t work. Iv had maintenance in the room 3/4 times whilst Iv been here first time being the first night arriving at 11pm to a sweltering hot room with a baby was not ideal to then have to wait for maintenance to come and sort it out. I’d advise bringing a fan to plug in because even when it does work it’s not really working like you would expect air con to. The food is salty, but all inclusive food is always the same so I expected that to be bang average which it is, again the kids are alright with it they have a kids food part so if your happy with carbs and constipation then your all set. We went to all the theme parks and water parks, theme park was good kids loved it queues were long at all the parks but it’s August. Ferrari land, opens at 5:30pm it’s small not much going on really but it was included with the hotel so we went think there are about 3 big rides rest are for smaller kids. The water park was good, lots to do opens at 11am but I’d get there before because the queues in are mental, also there is supposed to be a queue to keep everyone organised which we joined but by the time the gates were opening people had moved the barriers and just made a stampede to get in so I wouldn’t bother being civilised, can’t beat them join them. There is a shuttle bus to the parks which start at 9:40am every 30 mins until 12 then the return shuttles start at 7pm or there is a taxi rank close to the park and bunch costs about 10 euro in one to get back. Overall I wouldn’t come back here, I expect the rooms to be what I paid for, I don’t expect the rooms to be hotter than outside and I shouldn’t be having to argue with reception every day about the air con and their response being “you haven’t shut the door properly” it’s not the door, the motor is broke the maintenance man told me so. It’s just frustrating.
We have just arrived back from this hotel today. Positive, housekeeping and room excellent. Negatives, que for sun beds and racing for best position every single day of our 11 night stay, to which I did not participate in. Every evening queing for drinks at the one bar. We are family of four but could only have 3 drinks, if you wanted the additional drink you had to que again for 15 minutes or more. The hotel is all inclusive, but if you want to use the roof top pool area that is adults only, you have to pay for your drinks? NOW ON TO THE FOOD. Once again depending on time you had to que for food that frequently ran out and then long wait to replenish. The hotel is not worth the 4 star rating at very best a 3 star. The restaurant is not set up for the volume of people that use it. The management of the hotel and the infrastructure for what if offers needs serious attention.
I will start with the good. The apartment room was clean, bed comfortable and plenty of storage space. House keeping attended every day and left a clean room with fresh towels. The breakfast was good, drinks at the bar where not a bad price, I mostly drank water from the refill station. In the adult only pool area there was plenty of free sunbeds. Staff where friendly and a heard them converse in a few languages while there. What needs improving. I went half board and rented a kettle from the desk. The rent was 16 for the week. The issue was there's not cups, plates or utensils in the room, you have to ask for them. I asked 3 times over 24 hours. I only got them on the 3rd occasion because I told them the third I was in the process of logging a complaint with Jet2. Half board means I need to sort out my lunch, it should be a given that I need equipment to do that! The pools water looks clean, but if you inspect the pool side wall and around the drains theres what appears to be black mold on the grout. The adult pool has more of this than any other. Also there isn't enough option for shade at that pool. The sunbeds downstairs both pools- despite the hotel claiming they will remove unattended towels after a period of time. We never saw any attempt to do so. One day I was sat next to a empty bed, with a towel left on for seven hours. There needs to be a better system to make it fair. The sunbed run in the morning was fun to watch! Especially when some fell, although one women on one morning fell at the door and nearly got trampled. Evening meal- I ate there twice only the food was not good. Luke warm at best.
